Tema Steelworks Company is recruiting certified welders for structural and pressure vessel work at our Tema industrial area workshop.

The work covers structural fabrication for construction clients and coded welding on pressure vessels for the food processing and marine sectors. Pressure vessel work is inspected and tested, so the standard is not negotiable and you will be asked to demonstrate it before appointment.

We provide tools and personal protective equipment. Overtime is available and paid at the agreed rate rather than absorbed into salary.

1. 01Carry out structural and pressure vessel welding to drawing and specification
2. 02Read and work from fabrication drawings
3. 03Prepare joints and select the correct process and consumables
4. 04Present work for inspection and correct any defect identified
5. 05Maintain equipment and observe workshop safety procedures

1. 01Recognised welding certification, NVTI or equivalent
2. 02At least three years of workshop welding experience
3. 03Competent in MMA and MIG; TIG is a strong advantage
4. 04Able to read fabrication drawings
5. 05Will be asked to complete a practical test as part of selection
