Sankofa Digital Labs is hiring a Junior Software Developer to work on the inventory and payroll systems we build for Ghanaian businesses. You will be writing code that people use every working day to run real operations.

Our stack is TypeScript, React and Postgres, with some Python for data work. You will start paired with a senior developer on an existing client system rather than being given something new to build alone. We expect you to ask questions early and often, and we do not treat that as a weakness.

The office is in Osu and the team works from there three days a week. We provide a laptop. We do not expect you to already know our stack, but we do expect you to have written and finished something on your own.

1. 01Build and maintain features in client-facing web applications

3. 03Fix reported defects and confirm the fix with the client
4. 04Write basic tests for the code you ship
5. 05Join daily standups and the fortnightly client review

1. 01Degree, HND or a completed coding programme, or demonstrable self-taught work
2. 02At least one project you built and finished that you can walk us through
3. 03Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
4. 04Some exposure to SQL databases
5. 05Able to work from our Osu office three days a week
