The role
We are hiring a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to strengthen how the Trust measures and reports the effect of its programmes.
You will own the indicator framework across our maternal health, child health and school health programmes: designing collection tools, checking data quality at source, analysing results, and writing the reports that go to donors and to the Ghana Health Service. Data quality checking means field visits, not only desk review, because a number that was recorded badly in a village clinic does not improve by being put into a spreadsheet.
The role reports to the Programmes Director and works closely with all four clinic teams.
What you will do
- Maintain the indicator framework and data collection tools across all programmes
- Run routine data quality assessments, including field verification visits
- Analyse programme data and prepare quarterly donor reports
- Support programme teams to use their own data in planning
- Contribute to proposal development and baseline studies
What you need
- Degree in Statistics, Public Health, Development Studies or a related field
- At least three years in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in health programming
- Strong command of Excel; experience with SPSS, Stata or R is an advantage
- Experience with DHIS2 is desirable
- Willing to travel within the Central and Western Regions regularly
