The role
The Network Operations Centre in Tema monitors infrastructure across our contracted footprint and coordinates the field response when something fails. We are hiring an engineer to join the shift rotation.
You will monitor alarms, diagnose faults, dispatch and guide field crews, and manage incidents through to resolution and write-up. When a tower goes down at two in the morning, the quality of the next twenty minutes is largely down to whoever is on shift.
The NOC runs three shifts and the rotation includes nights and weekends, compensated accordingly. This is a role with a clear route into a team lead position.
What you will do
- Monitor network alarms and performance across the contracted footprint
- Diagnose faults and dispatch the appropriate field crew
- Manage incidents to resolution and produce the incident report
- Escalate to the operator's own NOC where contractually required
- Maintain shift handover records
What you need
- Degree or HND in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- At least three years in a network operations or field engineering role
- Understanding of transmission, power systems and RF basics
- CCNA or equivalent is an advantage
- Available for a three-shift rotation including nights and weekends
