We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the server side of our inventory and mobile money reconciliation products. Our clients run their daily operations on these systems, so reliability matters more to us than novelty.

You will design APIs, own the PostgreSQL schema, review the work of two junior developers and take part in the on-call rota. The stack is TypeScript on Node, PostgreSQL and a small amount of Go for the reconciliation workers.

The team works from our Osu office three days a week. We pay for a reliable home internet connection and a backup power solution for remote days.

1. 01At least five years building production backend systems
2. 02Strong TypeScript or Go, and strong SQL
3. 03Experience with mobile money APIs or payments is a strong advantage
4. 04Able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical clients
