This role is based at our Kumasi branch and covers the market lending portfolio. You will be out among traders for most of the working day rather than sitting at a desk.

Relationship Officers build and hold a portfolio of small business borrowers, most of them market traders and small manufacturers. You will assess loan applications, visit businesses before and after disbursement, and follow up on repayments. The company lends on the strength of knowing the customer, which means the quality of your visits directly determines the quality of the book.

We are looking for someone who can hold a firm conversation about money without damaging a relationship. Fluency in Twi is necessary for this portfolio. Training on our credit assessment method is provided over the first eight weeks.

1. 01Build and manage a portfolio of roughly 120 small business borrowers
2. 02Conduct business visits and assess repayment capacity before recommending a loan
3. 03Follow up on arrears promptly and escalate where a workout plan is needed
4. 04Maintain accurate customer records and visit notes
5. 05Meet monthly disbursement and portfolio quality targets

1. 01HND or degree in any discipline
2. 02At least one year in sales, collections, microfinance or a similar field role
3. 03Fluent spoken Twi and English
4. 04Comfortable working outdoors and moving around the market district daily
5. 05A clean record and two contactable referees
